چکیده
Due to our research and understanding of incompetent perforating veins, and our invention of the TRLOP minimally invasive technique of treating them, all Whiteley Clinic patients with varicose veins or other venous problems have their incompetent perforating veins treated, if they are significant. This is one of the major reasons for the success of the Whiteley Protocol and the very low longterm recurrence rates at The Whiteley Clinic and high patient satisfaction. pu bl ish ed re se ar ch “Venous perforator surgery is proven and does reduce recurrences”

Subfascial endoscopic perforator vein surgery: the first report from Iran.
BACKGROUND Chronic venous stasis ulcers of the leg are still a challenge in vascular surgery. Innovation of new surgical techniques using endoscopic instruments have ushered in a new era with less complications and better results. This study was designed to evaluate the safety and long-term outcomes of this technique for the first time in Iran. METHODS Subfascial endoscopic perforator vein su...

BACKGROUND Reconstruction of soft tissue defects in the lower third of the leg remains challenging. Anatomical constraints limit the local options available for complex defects especially lower third of leg. Local flaps based on perforator vessels are raising interest in reconstructive surgery of the limbs. We present our experience with perforator flaps for reconstruction of soft tissue def...
متن کاملAssociation of venous volume and diameter of incompetent perforator veins in the lower limb--implications for perforator vein surgery.
PURPOSE To define the association between venous volume as measured with air-plethysmography and the duplex ultrasound measured diameter of incompetent perforator of the lower limb. PATIENTS AND METHODS Thirty-six patients with chronic venous disease were investigated with air-plethysmography and duplex ultrasound. Venous volume and venous filling time was measured. Venous filling index was c...
متن کاملSubfascial endoscopic perforator surgery for venous ulcers.
We report the treatment and outcomes of 12 patients who underwent subfascial endoscopic perforator surgery for severe chronic venous insufficiency and venous ulceration. All patients had received prior superficial venous ablative surgery and presented with incompetent perforating veins in the calf and persistent venous ulceration (lasting >10 years). Outcome measures included ulcer healing time...
متن کاملThe place of subfascial endoscopic perforator vein surgery (SEPS) in advanced chronic venous insufficiency treatment
In spite of medical science development and initiation of new technologies in minimally invasive surgery, treatment of advanced chronic venous insufficiency at the 5(th) and 6(th) degree of CEAP classification is still a great clinical challenge. In case of no satisfactory results of non-surgical treatment of recurrent venous ulcers, scientists search for alternative therapeutic methods which c...
